SUBJECT: PSA: Message Control and Canadian Democracy

Memorial University Libraries’ Check it Out! Celebrating Culture series is hosting a lively discussion inspired by Dr. Alex Marland's recent publication Brand Command, an exploration of Canadian politics, message control and democracy as we know it.
Panellists include Peter Cowan, CBC; Alex Marland, Department of Political Science, Memorial University; James McLeod, The Telegram; and Nancy Pedri, Department of English, Memorial University.
The event will be moderated by Ryan Lewis, social sciences liaison librarian with Memorial University Libraries.
The lecture will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 1-2 p.m. in the Centre for Newfoundland Studies on the third floor of the Queen Elizabeth II Library.
