The Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI) and Ocean Choice International will announce the new Ocean Choice International Industrial Research Chair in Fish Stock Assessment and Sustainable Harvest Advice for Northwest Atlantic Fisheries on Thursday, Aug. 24 at 1 p.m.
The event will take place in Hampton Hall at MI’s Ridge Road campus.
The news conference will be emceed by Dr. Gary Kachanoski, president and vice-chancellor, Memorial University, and include remarks from Martin Sullivan, CEO, Ocean Choice International, Christopher Mitchelmore, provincial minister, Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation; Glenn Blackwood, vice-president, Memorial University (Marine Institute); and Dr. Noel Cadigan, chair, Ocean Choice International Industrial Research Chair in Fish Stock Assessment and Sustainable Harvest Advice for the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries.
