SUBJECT: Marine Institute and Ocean Choice International to announce research chair

The Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Ocean Choice International will announce the new Ocean Choice International Industrial Research Chair in Fish Stock Assessment and Sustainable Harvest Advice for Northwest Atlantic Fisheries on Wednesday, June 28, at 2 p.m.
The event will take place in Hampton Hall at MI’s Ridge Road campus.
The news conference will be emceed by Glenn Blackwood, vice-president, Memorial University (Marine Institute), and include remarks from Martin Sullivan, CEO, Ocean Choice International; Christopher Mitchelmore, provincial minister, Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation; Carey Bonnell, head, School of Fisheries, Marine Institute; and Dr. Noel Cadigan, chair, Ocean Choice International Industrial Research Chair in Fish Stock Assessment and Sustainable Harvest Advice for the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries.
