SUBJECT: PSA: SPARKS this weekend

The Faculty of Arts at Memorial University is sponsoring the seventh annual SPARKS Literary Festival on Sunday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Suncor Energy Hall, School of Music.
The festival is divided into four sessions, each of which will consist of a mix of various genres and a combination of readings and discussion.
The authors taking part include David Andrews, Sharon Bala, Robert Chafe, Joan Clark, Megan Gail Coles, Libby Creelman, Mary Dalton, Elisabeth de Mariaffi, Robert Finley, Jacqueline Hynes, George Murray, Nuala Ni Dhomhnaill, Heather O'Neill, Andrew Peacock, Sara Tilley and Patrick Warner.
Books will be available for sale and local magazines and publishers will be displaying material. An evening reception will follow the day-long event.
Admission is free and parking will be available in lot 15B. Food can be purchased on-site between 12-1 p.m.
In addition to the readings and exhibits, the winner of the annual Cox & Palmer SPARKS Creative Writing Award will be announced at the conclusion of the festival.
