SUBJECT: PSA: Public lecture on America and the Great War taking place at Memorial University
DATE: February 29, 2016
Dr. Michael Neiberg of the U.S. Department of National Security and Strategy, and the Stimson Chair of History and Security Studies, U.S. Army War College, will deliver a lecture titled The Road Over There: America and the Great War, 1914-17.
In his lecture, Dr. Neiberg will re-examine what we think we know about the American entry into the war and how its active participation in world affairs has continued uninterrupted ever since.
The lecture is co-sponsored by the departments of history and political science with support from the Provost and Vice-President (Academic)’s Scholarship in the Arts Fund.
The lecture will take place Thursday, March 3, from 7:30-9 p.m. in PE-2001, Physical Education building.
The lecture is open to all and parking is available in lots 1, 1A and 2.
