SUBJECT: Memorial's Faculty of Business Administration to hand out awards to business leaders at Partners

Leaders in aviation and advertising will be honoured by Memorial University’s Faculty of Business Administration at its 32nd annual Partners Celebration on April 26.
Joseph Randell (MBA ’85), president and chief executive officer of Chorus Aviation Inc., will receive the 2016 Alumni Honour Award. Derek Langdon (B.Comm. ’78) and Gary Wadden (B.Comm. ’78), partners at group m5, will take home the P.J. Gardiner 2016 Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The trio will be honoured at an event that will include congratulatory addresses from Premier Dwight Ball and Memorial University President Dr. Gary Kachanoski. The event will also feature a tribute to the late Dr. Janet Gardiner, a long-time supporter of Memorial’s business faculty, and recognition of Nalcor Energy and Canada Revenue Agency as long-time supporters of the business co-operative education program.
Partners is the business faculty’s annual celebration that brings together members of the faculty with students, donors, alumni and the business community to pay tribute to those who have achieved excellence in business while using their skills and expertise to contribute to their peers and communities.
Partners will begin with a networking reception at 5:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland. The awards presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m.
