SUBJECT: Award-winning author delivering speaker series in Labrador

Distinguished author and honorary degree recipient Dr. Kevin Major will be in Happy Valley-Goose Bay tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov. 6) to deliver an intimate and interactive talk titled Writing with Labrador in Mind.
It will take place at 7 p.m. in the Masonic Temple-Polaris Lodge No. 17, 348 Hamilton River Road.
Organized by Memorial Universitys Office of Alumni Affairs and Development, in conjunction with the Labrador Institute, the talk will focus on how the history of Labrador has inspired some of Dr. Majors most recent writing.
Media agencies are invited to send representatives to the event.
Dr. Major is the author of more than 15 books. He was named Memorials Alumnus of the Year in 1997 and presented with an honorary degree in 2011.
