SUBJECT: PSA: Memorial University to hold candlelight service
DATE: November 23, 2012
Memorial Universitys School of Social Work, along with Memorials chaplaincy and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Newfoundland and Labrador, will hold a memory candlelight service on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m. to remember those who have died by suicide.
The service will take place in the chapel, St. Johns College, on Memorial Universitys St. Johns campus.
This event is hosted annually to support family and friends during the difficult holiday season.
Share in poems, prayers, candle lighting and music by Shelley Neville and Peter Halley. Everyone is invited to bring a photograph of their loved one to be displayed during the service. Refreshments and conversation to follow.
Free parking will be available in area 22. To access this lot, take Morrissey Drive by the Earth Science building and follow it past the Business Administration building until you come to lot 22 on the right. Admission is free.
