SUBJECT: Marine Institute Remembrance Day ceremony
DATE: November 7, 2012
The Marine Institute (MI) invites students, faculty, staff, alumni, media and members of the public to take part in commemorating the armed, navy and merchant navy forces that served in the world wars at its annual Remembrance Day ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 12 p.m.
The ceremony will take place at the Merchant Navy Memorial located in front of the Marine Institute on Ridge Road.
Naval cadets and officers with the Canadian Forces Naval Engineering School (St. John's) will participate in the ceremony. Representatives from the office of member of Parliament Jack Harris, Memorial University of Newfoundland, MI Student Union, Crow’s Nest Officers Club, Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering, Company of Master Mariners and Canadian Forces Station St. John’s will be present.
