SUBJECT: Emergency exercise to take place at Memorial University

Note to editors:
On Monday, May 13, media are invited to take photos/video during Memorial University’s emergency exercise on the St. John’s campus. The full-day event, which will include simulated casualties and emergency responses, is a test of Memorial’s Emergency Management Plan and will help the university practise for a potential emergency.
There will be barricades around the scene during the closed exercise and media must enter the area escorted by Memorial University’s media representative. Media are asked to meet in the Arts and Administration building, room A-1043, at 8:45 a.m. Photo opportunities will take place between 9 a.m. and approximately 9:45 a.m.
