The Go Abroad Fair takes place today, Wednesday, at the University Centre from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. This popular annual event provides information about opportunities to study, work and volunteer abroad. The Association for New Canadians, Aboriginal student groups, a Zimbabwean student group, the Botanical Gardens of Memorial University and other groups are among the participants.
This exhibit is followed with a talk at 8 p.m. by explorer, author and photographer Dr. Wade Davis.
The events cover not only cultures new to Newfoundland and Labrador. Tomorrow, Thursday, International Education Week focuses on the value of indigenous cultures with Aboriginal Diversity Day.
