SUBJECT: Newfoundland and Labrador Thrombosis, Blood and Immune Disorders Project holds second public meeting

Note to editors:
The second meeting of the Newfoundland and Labrador Thrombosis, Blood and Immune Disorders Project will be held Thursday, March 1, from 7-10 p.m. at the Johnson GEO CENTRE.
The evening will feature two presentations. Dr. Mani Larijani, Memorial University Faculty of Medicine, will speak on the human immune system and links to leukemia and lymphoma.
Dr. Rufaro Chitseke, Memorial University Faculty of Medicine, will give an update on venous thrombo-embolism disease such as deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
This meeting is open to the public and is of particular interest to patients and family members dealing with blood, clotting and immune disorders.
