SUBJECT: PSA: The Secrets of Content Consumption in the Virtual World

The CEO of Empire Avenue, a Canadian-based social stock market-like game, will discuss The Secrets of Content Consumption in the Virtual World on Thursday, March 10, at 8 p.m. at Memorial University’s Inco Innovation Centre, room 2001. Duleepa Wijayawardhana is a graduate of Memorial University’s Faculty of Arts (BA honours in German and History, MA History) and has led and developed large-scale databases and applications accessed by millions of users since 1993.
Prior to launching Empire Avenue (www.empireavenue.ca) in 2010, Mr. Wijayawardhana worked for game developer Bio Ware Corp. in Edmonton and was the community relations manager in North America for Sun Microsystems.
In his talk, Mr. Wijayawardhana will discuss the nature and value of content and where we go from here. The lecture is open to the public and parking is available in lot 15B.
