SUBJECT: Johnson Insurance to provide Memorial’s students with access to increased scholarship and co-operative education opportunities

On Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, Memorial University and Johnson Insurance, one of the university’s longest-standing supporters, will announce a significant commitment that will further enhance funding for scholarships, co-operative education opportunities and alumni programming.
Dr. Gary Kachanoski, Memorial’s president and vice-chancellor, and Ken Bennett, president, Johnson Insurance, will be on hand with special guests, students, senior university officials, faculty and representatives from Johnson to mark this occasion.
The Memorial University and Johnson Insurance partnership announcement will take place on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Landing, University Centre, Rm 3018 (St. John’s campus). Parking available in Lots 17 and 18 (directly in front of the Inco Innovation Centre and adjacent to the QE II Library). Media representatives are invited to attend.
