SUBJECT: Harris Centre seeks public input on five year plan
DATE: April 5, 2011
Memorial Universitys Leslie Harris Centre of Regional Policy and Development is currently finalizing a plan that will guide operations for the next five years.
All members of the public are invited to attend a consultation session on Thursday, April 7, from 12:30-2 p.m. in room A-1043 of the Arts and Administration Building on Memorials St. Johns campus.
Community engagement is at the heart of what we do, and the public input we get from this session will help to inform the sorts of projects and operations we take on over the next five years, said Dr. Rob Greenwood, director of the Harris Centre.
Weve already completed a consultation at Grenfell campus, and were very pleased with the range of ideas suggested by the public, Dr. Greenwood said. Were encouraging anyone with an interest in regional policy and development both at Memorial and in the province as a whole, to come out, speak up and help shape the centres future.
If youre interested in attending, please register by calling Kathy Mason at 709-864-3143, or emailing her at kmason@mun.ca.
A light lunch will be provided, and parking without a permit is available in Lot 15B. The gate to the parking lot will open at 12 p.m. and close at 12:40 p.m.
