SUBJECT: Memorial University president to sign Sustainability Declaration

Memorial University President Dr. Chris Loomis (pro tempore) will sign the Memorial University Sustainability Declaration Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at The Landing, located on the third floor of the University Centre on the St. John’s campus. Charlene Johnson, minister of Environment and Conservation, and Luis Rodrigues, vice-president of energy solutions for Honeywell, will be in attendance.
The signing ceremony also marks the completion of the construction phase of the Energy and Facility Renewal Program at Memorial University. Infrastructure upgrades carried out by Honeywell will generate significant savings for the university and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions. A reception will follow the signing.
Media agencies are invited to send representatives to this ceremony.
