SUBJECT: Memorial scientist returns from Atlantic cruise as part of international marine census

Dr. Paul Snelgrove, a marine scientist with Memorial University’s Ocean Sciences Centre, has recently come ashore from a two-week cruise in the Atlantic Ocean as part of the International Census of Marine Life.
The data from this mission, conducted in the waters off New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, will feed into research conducted by Dr. Snelgrove’s network of Canadian university and government researchers -- the Canadian Healthy Oceans Network (CHONe) – as well as the complete marine census which will be released later this year in the scientific journal PLoS ONE.
