The Environmental Policy Institute Speakers Series Presents: Diana Gibson of the Parkland Institute, Friday Oct. 16, at 12 p.m. in FC 2014 (Forest Centre).
Ms. Gibson will discuss the impact of resource wealth on policy in her talk titled Resource wealth: A curse or opportunity?
Diana Gibson is the research director for the Parkland Institute, a public policy research center based at the University of Alberta. She has an extensive background in social policy research and has engaged nationally and internationally on topics ranging from health care and education to energy and international trade agreements. Ms. Gibson has written a variety of reports and book chapters specifically on resource challenges including royalties, de-industrialization, revenue volatility and energy security.
As this is a mid-day lecture, all are invited to bring along their lunch. The Environment Policy Institute acknowledges the support of the Centre of Environmental Excellence in organizing this event.
