SUBJECT: PSA: Public invited to discuss the causes and cures of obesity
DATE: December 2, 2008
The public is invited to attend a discussion entitled The Skinny on Obesity: How did we get here and where do we go? Topics include:
· Is obesity genetic?
· Does it start with how we’re fed as infants?
· Can we reduce the risk of our children being obese early in life?
· Why does Newfoundland have a higher rate of obesity than any other province Canada?
· Is it our environment?
The Café Scientifique takes place on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Murray Premises Hotel, 2nd floor, Water St., St. John’s. Parking available in the hotel parking lot and refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.
