SUBJECT: PSA: A Lesson in Nursing: Teaching Health in The Gambia

Memorial University alumni, faculty, staff and students are invited to a presentation by Vanessa Donnelly, BN’00, as she speaks on teaching health in West Africa. For two months in 2006, Ms. Donnelly lived in Karaiba, The Gambia, teaching diabetes education and prevention to the local residents. She will share both the personal and nursing experiences she encountered during her two month stay in the country. Afterwards, refreshments will be served and guests will have the opportunity to chat with Ms. Donnelly.
Time: 4-5 p.m.
