SUBJECT: Distance course gets national attention

Memorial’s Introduction to Forensic Psychology course has received an Award of Excellence from the Canadian Association for Distance Education (CADE). The course, taught by assistant professor Dr. Brent Snook, incorporates 25 video clips developed specifically to simulate various roles within the criminal justice system. The course is unlike any other at Memorial.
Media representatives are invited to attend the course demonstration in the Inco Innovation Centre, room IIC 2001, Memorial University, at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008. Dr. Snook and Albert Johnson, senior instructional designer, Distance Education and Learning Technologies (DELT), will show select video clips and demonstrate unique learning modules (also incorporating video).
