SUBJECT: Winter Charity Ball

Engineering Student Society “B” would like to invite the general public to attend Engineers Giving Back to the Community — Winter Charity Ball on Feb. 3, 2007, at the Johnson GEO Centre, St. John’s.
The purpose of this charitable event is to raise awareness and money for the Tetra Society of North America and the Conservation Corps of Newfoundland and Labrador. These organizations have been influential in harvesting and conserving resources within the province. Additional proceeds from this event will go towards a student incentive program created by Society “B” to benefit a student in the program who excels in design, innovation and leadership in the field of engineering.
The event will consist of a dinner, entertainment and silent auction. Local talent, organizations and industries within the community will also be showcased during the ball.
Tickets are $50 each, or $40 for students, and can be purchased by calling (709) 737-3095 or e-mailing hedderso@engr.mun.ca. Visit www.charityball.socb.ca for more information. Donations for the silent auction are welcome.
