SUBJECT: The following statement was issued by Memorial University today
DATE: January 25, 2007
Memorial University has been served a Statement of Claim outlining the lawsuit being launched by Marilyn Harvey, the research nurse who worked with Dr. Ranjit Chandra at the Janeway Hospital.
The university is reviewing the Statement of Claim and comments by Ms. Harvey’s counsel. The university denies the allegations made by Ms. Harvey in the Statement of Claim and it will formally file a defense outlining its response to the allegations.
As the matter is now before the courts, the university will not be commenting further at this time.
