SUBJECT: Memorial University international students holding International Bazaar to celebrate the sharing of cultures and cuisines

On Thursday, March 9, international students from Memorial University are coming together at the International Bazaar for a celebration of world cultures and cuisines. The bazaar is open to the public. Come to the International Bazaar to experience the world – try something different for lunch or buy a specialty souvenir. Foods include authentically prepared cuisine from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Colombia and the Caribbean. You’ll also find a wide assortment of unique items for sale including handmade jewelry from Kenya and silk scarves from China. You could even have your hands custom decorated with henna, an Indian and Middle Eastern tradition.
The International Bazaar will be held on the third floor of the Smallwood Centre on Memorial University’s St. John’s campus on Thursday, March, 9, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Free parking is available in Lots 16 and 16A west of the building. Everyone is welcome to attend and there is no admission charge.
