On Tuesday, April 12, Memorial University’s Faculty of Business Administration will mark the 21st anniversary of its annual Partners Dinner and present awards to two local business leaders. Karl Smith will receive the faculty’s 2004 Alumni Honour Award. Mr. Smith, B.Comm. (Co-op) ‘81, is president and CEO of Newfoundland Power Inc. Noel O’Dea, B.Comm. ’73 and president of Target Marketing and Communications Inc. will receive the P.J. Gardiner Institute’s Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 12, at 6:45 p.m.at The Fairmont Newfoundland; dinner will start at 7:30 p.m.The awards will be presented after the dinner portion of the event and recipients will be available for interviews and photos. Media are invited to attend all or part of the event. For tickets, RSVP to Roma Bowen by April 7 by calling 737-2182or e-mailing rbowen@mun.ca.
