SUBJECT: Students and employers to meet at Marine Institute Career Fair

Local and national companies from the marine transportation, food, naval architecture, marine environment and aquaculture industries will gather at the Marine Institute (MI) Feb. 9-10 to take part in its 3rd annual career fair. The MI is located on Ridge Road.
The fair showcases the knowledge and skills of MI students and graduates including those from nautical science, marine engineering, food technology and naval architecture and matches them with employers who are seeking new employees for their workforce.
The Feb. 9 session will feature presentations from employers and MI alumni who are leaders in their respective fields. The Feb. 10 session will see employers setting up displays and interacting with students and graduates from the institute’s wide range of certificate, diploma, advanced diploma and degree programs.
Last year’s career fair was a resounding success with many Marine Institute students making important contacts with industry and securing future employment opportunities.
