SUBJECT: PSA: Public invited to meet talented young innovators and their inventions

The public is invited to meet some of Canada’s most talented young innovators and view their inventions at the Shad Memorial Open Day event being held at Memorial University. High school students from across the country, who are participating in Shad Memorial, will showcase their inventions from 1– 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2005, at R. Gushue Hall, off Prince Philip Drive. This is Memorial’s third year hosting Shad Valley, a four-week academic program for exceptionally talented senior high school students from across Canada. Over the course of the program, participants create and develop a new product prototype. These innovations will be on display during the Open Day event.
