		On Wednesday, March 9, Memorial University’s School of Music presents a lecture by Glenn Colton, Department of Music at Lakehead University, titled Music and Patriotism in Pre-Confederation Newfoundland. The lecture will be held in the School of Music, room MU-1032 and will start at 7:30 p.m.This lecture is part of a broad research project on the history of Newfoundland music and is sponsored by the Research Centre for the study of Music, Media and Place at Memorial. Mr. Colton’s other research interests include Canadian music, 19th and 20th century music, and interdisciplinary studies dealing with music, literature and visual art.
