SUBJECT: PSA: Film to examine work of nurse and midwife Kay Matthews

On Tuesday, March 8, Memorial University will host a free public screening of Dying to Give Birth: Safe Motherhood for African Women. The film is a documentary by Newfoundland filmmaker Marie Wadden featuring the work of nurse and midwife Kay Matthews and examining the work of MaterCare International's safe motherhood project in rural Ghana. The screening will take place in the Health Sciences Centre, Lecture Theatre A, starting at 3:30 p.m.The screening is in honour of International Women’s Day and is sponsored by The International Health Action Group.
