Our front desk is located just inside the main entrance of Macpherson College on Livyers Loop (off of Prince Philip Drive). The entrance is immediately below a skywalk and is located at the north end of the complex.

For guests with confirmed reservations and arriving outside of these dates, please communicate with us your anticipated arrival time at the time of booking to make arrangements.  Our administrative offices are open 9:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. Monday to Friday.

By plane

By ferry

From mid-June to late September, the Marine Atlantic ferry docks in Argentia. Take Route 100 past the communities of Dunville and Freshwater. This route meets the Trans Canada Highway – drive east on the Trans Canada Highway to St. John’s. There is also a ferry that docks year-round on the island's west coast in Port-aux-Basques.

By car

Drive east on the Trans Canada Highway towards St. John's. Take exit 46 onto Allandale Road and then make a right onto Prince Philip Drive followed by a left onto Livyers Loop.

By bus

DRL, the province’s private bus line, makes regular stops at the Smallwood University Centre to pick up and drop off travellers. Please see the walking instructions from the University Centre, below.

Travel to and from the airport

Taxis

St. John's International Airport (YYT) is located approximately 8 km from Memorial University's St. John's campus. Taxi cabs queue outside the arrivals area and a taxi dispatcher is available to assist you. A taxi ride from the airport to our residences will take less than 10 minutes. City Wide Taxi is the exclusive provider of ground transportation services for the public at the airport. They have accessible vehicles in their fleet that can accommodate large, non-folding and non-collapsible mobility aids.

Alternate options for accessible taxi service include GoBus Accessible Transit at (709) 368-1620 or Wheelway Transportation Limited at (709) 753-0605. Both companies can also accommodate large, non-folding and non-collapsible mobility aids.  It is recommended to make arrangements at least 24 hours in advance.

Public Transportation

Metrobus provides public transit service to and from the airport. Take Route 14 from the airport to Memorial University Smallwood University Centre (STOP ID: 1150). Bus fare is $2.50 per ride and this route is wheelchair accessible. Please see the walking instructions from the University Centre, below.

Directions from the University Centre

From the Smallwood University Centre, walk east on Arctic Avenue past the Earth Sciences building, take a right on Morrisey Avenue, and cross Prince Philip Drive intersection onto Livyers Loop. Please note there is a pedestrian underpass adjacent to the intersection.
