Search for Vice-President (Finance and Administration)

As shared with the university community earlier this month, the focus on fiscal sustainability is a priority for the institution and the search for a new Vice-President (Finance and Administration) has begun with the establishment of a search committee.

The committee will be chaired by Trudy Pound-Curtis, FCPA, FCA who is currently Executive Advisor (Finance) and will assume the role of Interim Vice-President (Finance and Administration) effective August 25, 2025. 

Search committee members are:

  • Jennifer Lokash (currently President and Vice-Chancellor pro tempore, and representing the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) portfolio after August 11)
  • Ken Jacobsen, Interim Vice-President (Grenfell Campus)
  • Catharyn Andersen, Vice-President (Indigenous)
  • Paul Brett, Vice-President (Marine Institute) pro tempore
  • Peggy Coady, FCPA, FCA, Associate Professor, Faculty of Business Administration
  • Bruce Belbin, Director, Student Residences and Ancillary Operations
  • Incoming President, Dr. Janet Morrison, will join the search committee upon her arrival on August 11, 2025

The committee will begin meeting as soon as possible, and updates will be shared on the president’s website (www.mun.ca/president). The committee includes Memorial community members who represent various campuses, academic and student serving units, research and Indigenous leadership, and finance expertise.

Further communication about the forthcoming search for the Associate Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer will be shared in the coming days.
