Grad student success
Diverse graduate research is a point of pride in our post-graduate programs. Our students represented the school well during this academic year, receiving a number of awards, publications and acknowledgements.
Meshari Fahad Alwashmi:
- Mitacs grant of $90,000
- Presentation at the Connected Health international mobile health conference
- Presentation at the Canadian Agency for Drugs & Technologies in Health (CADTH)
- Attended a workshop at Stanford University and is submitting a paper with Mixed Methods journal

- Drug Safety and Effectiveness Cross Disciplinary Training Program (DSECT). I was accepted to be part of the DSECT training program again this year as a stream two participant. This means that in addition to participating on training webinars and activities, I will also be collaborating on a small project with another researcher working in Drug Safety and Effectiveness. This training comes with a $10,000 stipend and funding to travel to visit researchers with whom I will be collaborating.
- Canadian Association for Population Therapeutics (CAPT). Student Poster Presentation of the Year Award. $200 award.
