Canada Research Chair presentations - RESCHEDULED
The School of Pharmacy is currently conducting candidate interviews for recruitment of a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Health Sustainability and Policy Evaluation. The position involves a CRC nomination, and is also a tenure track appointment at the assistant or associate level.
The successful candidate is to be an experienced researcher and leader and will be expected to establish an independent research and training program in the area of healthcare sustainability and policy evaluation.
Working at the intersection of the health and social sciences, the CRC in Health Care Sustainability and Policy Evaluation will evaluate the performance of the healthcare system in Newfoundland and Labrador, support and evaluate policies to enhance effectiveness and sustainability in the current environment of fiscal constraint, and apply specialized knowledge of the province's political climate, geography, and population dynamics.
Given the expanded role of pharmacists in the health system, the CRC theme is particularly relevant to the School of Pharmacy.
