SUBJECT: PSA: Panel to explore restorative justice in classrooms and courtrooms

Relationships First: Restorative Justice in Education N.L. Consortium is holding a panel discussion on Nov. 22 as part of Restorative Justice Week 2017.

Panellists will explore how restorative justice approaches can address challenges in the province’s education and legal systems, including access to justice, the well-being of youth and increased demand on the courts and correctional facilities.

Panel members include Andrew Parsons, minister, Justice and Public Safety; Joe Boland, chief, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary; and Amy Hunt, vice-principal, Halifax Regional School Board, and facilitator with the Nova Scotia Restorative Approach.

WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 7-9 p.m.

WHERE: ED-1020, Education building, St. John’s campus

Parking is available in area 18, located in front of the QEII Library.
