SUBJECT: PSA: Free family event brings awareness to health-related issues

Join members of Memorial University’s research community and partner organizations for the first Health for All Festival, a free family event taking place on Saturday, Nov. 4.
You’ll learn about exciting research focused on improving health and health outcomes while hearing from a number of groups on topics ranging from diabetes to colorectal cancer to vascular health and more.
There’ll be demonstrations, live music, crafts and games for children, and hands-on activities.
What: Health for All Festival
When: Saturday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where: Lester’s Farm Chalet, 90-92 Pearltown Rd. (just off Brookfield Road), St. John’s
What: Inside the chalet, various researchers, provincial organizations and community groups will set up hands-on activities to teach you how patients, doctors and researchers can work together to improve health outcomes in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Who: Bring the whole family.
The event is organized by the Newfoundland and Labrador SUpport for People and Patient-Oriented Research and Trials Unit (NL SUPPORT), a unit within Memorial’s Faculty of Medicine.
