SUBJECT: Fisheries and Marine Institute to celebrate 2018 graduates

More than 180 graduates will receive diplomas and certificates during the 2018 graduation ceremony at the Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI) of Memorial University of Newfoundland on Friday, June 15.
The event will take place at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium of MI’s Ridge Road campus in St. John’s.
The ceremony will include remarks from Glenn Blackwood, vice-president, Memorial University (Marine Institute), and Ashley Davies-Marsh, student speaker, who is graduating from the marine environmental technology program.
During Memorial's recent spring convocation ceremonies, more than 120 bachelor’s and master’s degrees were presented to Marine Institute graduates.
As part of MI’s graduation celebration activities, students, friends and family are invited to share their graduation congratulations, photos and special moments via social media using the hashtag #MIGrad18. You can join the celebration on Twitter, Instagram and the Marine Institute Facebook page.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on www.mi.mun.ca beginning at 2 p.m. (N.L. time) and archived on the Marine Institute’s YouTube channel for future viewing.
