SUBJECT: Electrical and computer engineering conference marks 25th anniversary

The 2016 Newfoundland Electrical and Computer Engineering Conference will take place on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Holiday Inn in St. John’s.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the conference.
This year’s conference brings together a diverse technical program and will explore a wide range of technologies, including power systems, sensing, biomedical, networks and instrumentation.
Conference speakers include Emad Rizkalla, founder and CEO, Bluedrop Performance Learning, who will talk about entrepreneurship and leadership, and Stan Marshall, president and CEO, Nalcor Energy, who will speak about the Muskrat Falls megaproject.
Members of the media are invited to attend either of the above sessions, which will take place at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
The annual conference, which is organized by the Newfoundland and Labrador section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and in co-operation with Memorial University, brings together presenters from industry and academia to highlight the impressive work that is being done in Newfoundland and Labrador in the areas of electrical and computer engineering.
