SUBJECT: PSA: Public forum: Let's Talk About Oil

A panel featuring guests drawn from industry, academia and the arts will spark conversations about oil and our relationship to energy on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Johnson GEO CENTRE.
Let’s Talk About Oil is a public event organized by Petrocultures 2016: The Offshore, an international conference hosted by Memorial University.
Panellists include Adam Cormier, Iron and Earth; Sue Jane Taylor, Scottish artist; Paula Graham, PhD student and activist; Dr. Imre Szeman, co-founder of Petrocultures; Caron Hawco, Caron Hawco Group; and Helge Ryggvik, historian of Norwegian oil exploration. The discussion will be hosted and facilitated by Dr. Arn Keeling of Memorial University’s Department of Geography
Petrocultures 2016 is supported by Memorial University, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, The Rooms, the Johnson GEO CENTRE and the Canada Research Chair in Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta.
