SUBJECT: PSA: Come celebrate with Memorial during I Love MUNdays 2014

Memorial University students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends are invited to participate in a variety of events taking place during I Love MUNdays, Memorial’s annual spirit week running Oct. 23-28. To see a list of events and a full schedule of activities, go to www.mun.ca/mundays/.

Fill the Square
On Friday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., help stock the shelves for the Campus Food Bank by dropping off non-perishable food items at the Paton College Basketball court, as Memorial celebrates Kindness Friday. To learn more, go to www.mun.ca/mundays/events/square.php.
MUNdays Sunday Skate
Everybody’s invited to the Jack Byrne Arena in Torbay on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 4-6 p.m., for the first-ever MUNdays Sunday Skate. There’ll be an hour of skating followed by an hour of refreshments and munchies. Cost: $3 per person. To register, go to www.mun.ca/mundays/events/skate.php.
MUNdays Dining Etiquette Workshop
On Monday, Oct. 27, from 6-9 p.m., find out how to choose the right fork, the night attire and the right conversation to make a positive impression as you enjoy a delicious three-course meal hosted by a local etiquette coach. This year’s event takes place in The Landing on the third floor of the University Centre. Seating is limited. Tickets are $25 for students and $30 for alumni. Deadline to register is Oct. 22. Toque Day
On Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., open your closets and your hearts to help Froude Avenue Community Centre as Memorial collects gently used winter clothing. For your donation, you’ll receive a Memorial@Home toque. Drop off your donations outside the DELTS offices at rooms ED-1032 and ED-2000 in the Education Building.
