SUBJECT: Memorial University to recognize alumni celebrating 50-plus years of graduation

Dr. Gary Kachanoski, president and vice-chancellor, Memorial University of Newfoundland, will host the inaugural ceremony in recognition of alumni celebrating 50-plus years of graduation, tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. in the D.F. Cook Recital Hall, School of Music. A reception will follow.
The Presidents Golden Celebration will honour approximately 110 of Memorials earliest graduates, some of whom are celebrating 83 years since graduation from Memorial.
Dr. Kachanoski will present these exceptional individuals with a commemorative pin, which symbolizes the ties that bind, the pride of the university and, most importantly, a sincere thank you to alumni.
The Presidents Golden Celebration is part of Reunion 2013 events.
