SUBJECT: PSA: Spark it up at Memorial University

Memorial Universitys Faculty of Arts is sponsoring the fourth annual SPARKS Literary Festival on Sunday, Jan. 20, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Petro-Canada Hall, School of Music, StJohns campus.
The festival is divided into four sessions, each of which will consist of a lively mix of various genres and a combination of readings and discussion. The authors taking part are: Gerard Collins, Eva Crocker, Ramona Dearing, Anne Hart, Catherine Hogan Safer, Wayne Johnston, Randall Maggs, Don McKay, Trudy Morgan-Cole, Grant Loveys, Denyse Lynde, Iain McCurdy, Robert Mellin, Carmine Starnino, Joan Sullivan and Patrick Warner.
Books will be available for sale and local magazines and letterpress publishers will be displaying material. An evening reception will follow the day-long event. Admission is free and parking is available in lot 15B.
In addition to the readings and exhibits, the recipient of the second annual Cox & Palmer SPARKS Creative Writing Award will be announced at the festival as will the winner of the SPARKS haiku contest.
