Approximately 15 local organizations will gather at R. Gushue Hall on Memorial Universitys St. Johns campus on Wednesday, May 8, for the second annual Alumni Job Fair. The fair will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Stemming from a successful event that took place during Reunion 2012, the fair is open to Memorial alumni and new graduates looking to network with local employers who are providing career opportunities for job seekers right here in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Building on the great success of last years Alumni Job Fair, this event is one of the best networking opportunities for local employers and alumni, said Jennifer Browne, director of Career Development and Experiential Learning at Memorial University. It brings employers from the local community together with alumni who may be recent graduates or experienced professionals. All Memorial alumni who are looking for new opportunities are encouraged to drop by.
Admission to the Alumni Job Fair is free. Alumni are encouraged to bring along their student IDs or have their student numbers readily available if possible.
