SUBJECT: Third annual SPARKS Literary Festival

Media are invited to the third annual SPARKS Literary Festival on Sunday, Jan. 22, at Memorial Universitys Petro-Canada Hall in the School of Music on the St. Johns campus.
Celebrating the written and spoken word in Newfoundland and Labrador, this daylong event features 15 of Newfoundland and Labradors new and established writers of fiction, non-fiction and poetry.
Participants include Frank Barry, Marjorie Doyle, Joel Thomas Hynes, Lesleyanne Ryan, Agnes Walsh, Shoshanna Wingate, Mark Callanan, John Ennis, Stephanie Trevorrow, Russell Wangersky, Danielle Devereaux, Jamie Fitzpatrick, Edward Riche, Leslie Vryenhoek and Patrick Warner.
In addition, the winner of the first Cox & Palmer SPARKS Literary Award will be announced during the days closing session at approximately 5:45 p.m. See www.arts.mun.ca/sparks/ for a complete schedule.
