SUBJECT: PSA: MUN Childcare Centre closing until the end of January

The MUN Childcare Centre would like to inform the parents it serves that due to unforeseen circumstances, the centre will be closed from Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, until Monday, Jan. 30, 2012.
Recently, a break in a sprinkler line occurred on the second floor which caused water to leak under the floorboards. As a result, some parts of the floors and walls throughout the centre have to be replaced in order to prevent further damage. Currently, there is no health risk to children, however, if left unrepaired, it could cause more permanent damage to the centre. These repairs are necessary to fulfill the centre’s ultimate goal to provide a safe, healthy environment for the children who attend.
Officials at the centre are contacting parents and will keep them up-to-date on the progress.
