SUBJECT: Official announcement of the NSERC CREATE Training Program for Offshore Technology

Media representatives are invited to attend the official announcement of the NSERC CREATE Training Program for Offshore Technology Research on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010.
Participants include Dr. Christopher Loomis, vice-president (research), Memorial University; David Robbins, NSERC council member and manager, AMEC Earth & Environmental; David Finn, chief operating officer, Petroleum Research Atlantic Canada; Glenn Janes, chief executive officer of Research & Development Corporation; Darin King, provincial minister of education; and Dr. Wei Qiu, associate professor, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, and principal investigator of the NSERC CREATE Training Program for Offshore Technology Research.
The event will take place at 10 a.m. in the Junior Common Room,
R. Gushue Hall, Memorial University, St. Johns Campus.
A reception will follow.
Limited parking is available in front of R. Gushue Hall.
