The Grenfell College visual arts program Visiting Artist Series presents Eliza Griffiths, painter, Montréal, QC, at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, LC301, Library and Computing Building, Grenfell College.
This free presentation is open to all and is sponsored in part by the Canada Council for the Arts.
Eliza Griffiths is a Canadian painter whose work involves the creation of invented characters in psychologically fraught pictorial tableaux. Favourite themes include sexuality and gender, identity, and the complexity of desire. Her paintings have been shown extensively across Canada in both solo and group exhibitions, as well as in the US, UK, and in Spain. Griffiths currently lives in Montreal and teaches painting at Concordia University. For more information visit www.elizagriffiths.com.
