SUBJECT: Project Management Symposium 2009: The People Behind the Projects

Local project management professionals will come together on June 3 to celebrate and learn from local projects when the Gardiner Centre, Memorial University and the Project Management Institute – NL Chapter host the Project Management Symposium 2009: The People Behind the Projects.
The symposium, which takes place at the Holiday Inn in St. John’s, is designed to share what’s happening locally in project management and highlight the roles of various stakeholders in project success. One of the local projects that will be highlighted is the City of St. John’s new $150 million dollar Riverheard Wastewater Facility.
Also included in the event will be a panel discussion where local project managers will address questions and share their insights into successful project management. Several topics will be covered during the day that particularly relevant in these economic times, such as project team wellness and the importance of strong leadership.
