Announcing Rabbit Tales - a new column which will first appear in The Western Star (arts page) on Nov. 6 (Thursday). Rabbit Tales will publish the creative work of poets, songwriters, and short prose writers from Corner Brook and surrounding areas beginning on a bi-weekly basis and a weekly basis thereafter. Submissions will be vetted by editors who have significant training.
If you are interested in having your work published in Rabbit Tales, please submit approximately 300 words to rabbittalesinnl@gmail.com Submitting your work means that you are willing to have your work published and that you give the right to The Western Star to publish your piece. Writers should keep in mind that this is a community paper with community values and that profanity and the like should not appear.
This is a call, then, for submissions which must be submitted to Rabbit Tales at the above e-mail address no later than Oct. 31 Friday @ 3:00 (to appear in the WS Nov. 6). Second submissions should be received no later than Friday, Nov. 14 @ 3:00 (for publication in the WS, Thursday Nov. 20).
Submissions should be electronically submitted and should include (on the work itself) the author's name, full mailing address, e-mail address and phone number.
Also, a brief biographical note--no longer than 15 words--should attend the submission.
Authors are reminded to submit original work only and that plagiarism is not permitted.
Join Rabbit Tales and this new publishing venue in Corner Brook and also be ready to enjoy the works of others in your community!
