SUBJECT: Arts grad receives Margaret Williams Trust Fund award

An arts graduate from Memorial University is this year’s recipient of the Margaret Williams Trust Fund award.
St. John’s-native Amanda Foote receives the award, valued at $1,500.
Ms. Foote holds a bachelor of arts degree with a major in history from Memorial.
She is currently attending the School of Information Management at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, and has just finished her first year of the master’s of library and information science degree program
The Margaret Williams Trust Fund award was established in 1982 by the family and friends of the former Memorial librarian.
It was set up to promote the development of librarianship in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Funds are awarded on a competitive basis to applicants seeking funding for library-related projects or assistance in pursuing graduate studies in librarianship, archival studies or teacher librarianship.
