SUBJECT: Faculty of Business celebrates Partners Dinner

On April 22, the Faculty of Business Administration will award the Alumni of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year at the 24th annual Partners Dinner.
Brad Wicks will receive the 2007 Alumni Honour Award. Mr. Wicks, BA (’79), LLB (’82), MBA (’82), Q.C., is the managing partner of law firm Roebothan McKay Marshall. Mr. Wicks is a frequent guest judge for students preparing for case competitions, former lecturer in the Faculty of Business and former member of the Board of Regents. He is very active with a number of community organizations.
Brian Dalton and Roland Butler Jr. of Altius Minerals will receive the P.J. Gardiner Institute’s 2008 Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Altius Minerals is a successful mining exploration company in Newfoundland and Labrador. Altius was recently named the second fastest growing company in Atlantic Canada by Progress Magazine.
A longtime supporter of business co-op, the Canada Revenue Agency will be recognized for reaching a milestone in the co-operative education program.
Partners Dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at 6:45 p.m. at the Fairmont Newfoundland; dinner will start at 7:30 p.m. The awards will be presented after the dinner portion of the event and
